We've got a swimming pool

I'll post more sometime, but I seem to find that I'm spending a lot of my spare time on an inflatable chair.

Almost everyone I know says they would NOT recommend the company that installed their pool. How do you feel about Mr. Carlos pool now that the process is over? Did it cost what they said? Did they come when they said they would? Did they clean up after they were done? Thanks for the review

I don't think they have lost their license: https://www2.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/CheckLicenseII/LicenseDetail.aspx?LicNum=232130

You could ring and ask.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MR. CARLOS AND ASSOCIATES. THEY ARE very unethical. The president Gary Gunderson is a liar and crook. They are operating under Carlos the owners license #,If anyone comes by to give you an estimate other than Carlos himself, they are committing a crime. Report them to the Cal State Lic Board. Gary Gunderson LIC is suspended!! Go elsewhere

agreed - I see that the company is licensed, similar to other companies licenses. It's not an individual's license.... it's a company's license.

Isn't that all that is needed? I know there is someone on the internet who vehemently hates this guy - but want to here from other people who are fair. The best thing I found was this review:

I just finished my Pool with Mr. Carlos. I was very clear in what I wanted and made sure it was documented on the contract. I had some permit issues but my city is a challenge even for experienced. Overall, I got exactly what I asked for. The quality of one their subs who no longer works with with them needed some work and they addressed that and any other issues I had. Gary took care of it but don't expect to get something for free. You probably picked them because of price and if it is not on the contract it is going to be extra, you need to do your home work. The contract is pretty clear. Overall, I would recommend them.

My impression through research (I am considering hiring is)....

I think you can get a good price w/ this company but you have to be very clear w/ communication up front and although it shouldn't be, it's probably on you to make sure everything is spelled out. But if you and the company are on the same page - it's prob fine. and while you might be the type that wants someone to hold your hand - you get what you pay for. It's good the bad reviews are out there - because you go in cautious and make sure to cross all your t's up front.
